Specifying
How the Range Fits Together
A handleless kitchen usually uses three of these four at once. The gola profile replaces the handle, the light channel hides the LED strip inside the cabinet, and the glass doors go on the uppers or a display run. Here is how each one is specified and supplied.
Start with the doors
Aluminum glass doors are the only made-to-size item in the range. The Taçara profile shows just 3mm of frame at 21mm depth, so the glass carries the look rather than the aluminum. Ten glass options, from clear through fluted and reeded to mirror, all 5mm tempered. Send a cut list with sizes, profile colour and glass type, and allow 5–10 business days.
Then the gola profile
Two profiles, and which you need depends on where the pull sits. The C-profile goes between drawers and is gripped from above and below; it wants a 20mm channel. The J-profile — the same part other shops call an L-profile — runs under the countertop as the top pull and wants 25mm. Four finishes, 3000mm lengths, cut on site.
Match the channel to the groove
Pick the channel by the groove you can rout. Picasso sits recessed and hidden and needs 17.4 × 8.2mm. Dali throws light at 45°, which is what you want over a wine rack or an angled display, and needs 17.02 × 10.16mm. Monet mounts behind a glass shelf up to 8mm thick and needs 12.5 × 8mm. Four diffusers, clear through opal, control how hard the light reads.
Finish with the strip
COB strips give a continuous line of light with no visible dots, which matters under a clear diffuser where dotting shows. 24V, CRI 90+, 8mm or 10mm wide, IP20 indoors or IP65 silicone-coated where there is moisture. Regular COB cuts at marked intervals; Cut Anywhere cuts wherever you need it.
Built Here, Collected Here
Everything is machined at 601 Rivermede Rd Unit 3 in Concord, ON, on CNC equipment we designed and built ourselves. Off-the-shelf machines could not hold the ±0.1mm tolerance this work needs. All profiles are extruded from 6063-T5 aluminum.
We started Luxix in 2023 after more than fifteen years in the cabinet trade, because Canadian shops were importing these components from the United States and waiting a month for them. Read the whole story.
Who we supply
Cabinet makers, kitchen designers and millwork shops across the Greater Toronto Area — Toronto, Vaughan, Mississauga, Markham, Richmond Hill and Brampton — and throughout Ontario.
- No minimum order. One door or a hundred, one length or a full pallet.
- Pickup only. Aluminum and glass do not survive couriers well, and local pickup is what keeps the turnaround short.
